Jamaica

Our first morning in Jamaica, we had orientation. It was a time for them to let us know what would be going on during the week and where and learn where things are. After orientation we headed to the pool.

After a delicious pizza lunch, we decided to head over to the seaside of the resort to check out the beach in the daylight!

We eventually made our way pack to the hillside to check out the gardens and then spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing by the pool. We were invited by the resort staff to a returning guest dinner. The attire was country and western. Seriously? Who brings themed clothing on vacation? We did the best we could, but we weren't the only ones who weren't looking very country. Really only the staff was decked out in cowboy hats and jeans.

The dinner was fun. The food was great, and we were able to meet some of the staff and some other returning guests. We also got to learn about the Sandals Foundation, the company's charitable organization.

It was a fabulous first day!
