How Awesome is the Lord Most High

Friday was our last day of clinics. We headed to Los Lomas de Nance, a cow herding village. 

We crossed another river on the way! Then as we got closer there were a lot of cows in the road on our way to the school.

We set up our clinic in the school. We had a good area for the pharmacy, but the school itself was smaller than the one in Puertas Azules. In this set up,  those of us in the pharmacy were able to see out the window all of those coming into the clinic.

Jason took on a different role for out last day. He and Moises told all of those coming through the clinic about the love of Christ! This community does not have a Christian presence, so they were very hungry. 29 people prayed to receive Christ that day!!

We also had the opportunity to make a home visit. There was an 87 year old woman who couldn't make the trek up the hill to the clinic. Our nurse practitioner went to see her in the morning. Those of us in the pharmacy took her prescriptions to her after lunch. She was so sweet and appreciative! She even asked us to stay with her!

It was so amazing to be able to see this side of things. All week we had been so busy getting prescriptions ready and trying to get caught up that it seemed like there wasn't much time to really talk to the patients. Seeing how much just our presence affected this woman really allowed us to see how much what we were doing was impacting these people. Showing them we love and care about them and sharing God's love with them was all that really mattered.

Back in Jinotega we had a worship time after dinner. We sang the song "How Awesome is the Lord Most High". This song is so appropriate for our trip. God worked so awesomely over our week in Nicaragua. He worked everything together for His glory. Jason and I are just thankful to have been a part of it.
